Ms. DeVetta Holman Nash works as the Strategic Planner for Diversity Initiatives for Student Wellness, and serves as the Staff Advisor for UNC DICE. After over 25 years as a UNC staff, and more than 30 years of total time at UNC as a student and staff, Ms. Nash has developed a great perspective. She notes “we are all our lived experiences,” and hers include coming to UNC as a first-generation college student as well as obtaining her Master’s Degree in Public Health here. She navigated the institution without many of the resources now available to students. “The University’s current outreach is about inclusivity and building a more welcoming climate and campus for all students,”

Rhea J. Wyse is a sophomore at UNC, originally form Silver Spring, Maryland. She is majoring in Health Policy Management with a double minor in Social and Economic Justice and Chemistry. She also serves as Creative Development for RISE Leadership Academy, an Honors Ambassador, and a Minority Advisor for incoming first-year students.

Brianna Gaddy is a sophomore at UNC, double majoring in Journalism (Public Relations) and Global Studies with a Hispanic Studies minor. She is originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, but currently lives in Morrisville, NC. Brianna is currently a dancer within Blank Canvas Dance Co., a minority advisor for incoming freshmen, and a tutor for HYPE.
